ICE HAULERS 2021 SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED

Sandusky Bay Ice Haulers General Manager Ray Neill today announced the team’s 2021 Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League inaugural baseball season schedule. The 2020 season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Ice Hauler’s 42-game regular season schedule consists of 21 home games at their home field located at Sports Force Parks at Cedar Point Sports Center and 21 away games. Their season kicks off on June 4 and wraps up on July 24 with both games played on the road against the Galion Graders. The team is scheduled to host its home opener versus the defending champions Lima Locos on June 5 at 7 PM. Doubleheader games are scheduled for June 8, as the Ice Haulers host the Muskegon Clippers, June 22 hosting the Michigan Monarchs and July 11 on the road versus Muskegon Clippers.
“With our 2020 inaugural season in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League being postponed, I’m extremely excited for the Sandusky Bay Ice Haulers to get on the field in 2021,” said Neil. “Bringing extremely talented college baseball players from across our country to Sports Force Park is an exciting endeavor. The entertainment value for the local baseball community and the positive influence these college players can have on our local youth is a win-win for all.”
The Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League consist of 15 teams located throughout Ohio and Michigan, with one team located in Ontario, Canada. Each team consists of collegiate level players, with the hopes of reaching the Major Leagues.
The Ice Haulers recently announced veteran coach Billy Clay will lead the team as Head Coach in their inaugural season on the field. Clay has more than 40-year experience coaching baseball and will become an integral component to a successful season for the Ice Haulers baseball team.
