.
Jacob Boyd, left-handed pitcher and Senior from Lourdes University, earned the win on the mound for Sandusky Bay. Boyd pitched for four innings and let his infield work, fielding six hits, and only one run allowed. He went on to tally six strikeouts for the Ice Haulers to earn the walk-off win.

During this lead and inning, some contradictory calls were made, ejecting Head Coach, Jared Hagan, from the game. The Ice Haulers were able to pick-up their coach in a “walk-off” type of fashion.
.
The Ice Haulers rallied in the eighth inning on a Garrett Pike single to right field. Pike’s single tallied off an RBI for him and allowed Nathan Archer to come home for the tying run. Michael Pollard, Sophomore at Saint Peter’s University, showed off his base running skills after being hit by a pitch to advance onto base. Pollard recorded two stolen bases due to a pass bail from the Locos pitcher & catcher. Pollard advanced home for the win from a Nathan Archer single to left field, earning Archer an RBI on the night as well.
.
Sandusky Bay is back in action tonight for game two of the three game series against the Lima Locos. First pitch is set for 7:05 PM at Simmons Field in Lima, Ohio. The Ice Haulers are looking to close out the series win with a bit of revenge from their home opening stretch against the Locos.
