The Ice Haulers came into the game tied with Jet Box in the league standings. They took on the Grand Lake Mariners, hoping for their eighth straight victory. On the mound tonight for the Ice Haulers, was Luke Lashutka (Freshman, St Bonaventure University).

This time, the Ice Haulers drew first blood. In the bottom of the third inning, the dangerous hitter, Scott Mackiewicz (Freshman, University of Toledo) hit a solo shot to left field. That home run puts Mackiewicz with five on the year. The big hit also put him at 29 total RBIs on the season.

The Ice Haulers would gain another run in the bottom of the fourth, with an RBI hit from the shortstop, Jordan Andrade (Freshman, University of Nevada Las Vegas). Andrade now has 13 RBIs this season.

Leading 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth, the Ice Haulers would gain another insurance run. The right fielder, Chris LoCurto (Freshman, Undecided College) hit his first home run of the season. His big hit put the Ice Haulers out in front 3-0.

Luke Lushutka would go six solid innings. He would allow just four hits, with no walks or runs. During his solid performance, he also had two strikeouts.

The Ice Haulers held the Mariners for a 4-2 win. The Haulers have now won 15 out of their last 16 games. Luskutka would obtain a well-deserved winning decision, as Gino Sabatine (Senior, Marietta College) would get the big save for the Ice Haulers.

With Jet Box losing 16-1 to the Muskegon Clippers tonight, the Ice Haulers are now first in the standings. Not only do the Haulers lead in the North division, but they lead the entire GLSCL after tonight's victory. The Ice Haulers will take on Jet Box tomorrow, at Sports Force Parks (Sandusky, Ohio). First Pitch will be at 7:05pm.
