This win over the Michigan Monarchs moved Sandusky Bay into first place in GLSCL play.
.
Francisco Olivarez, Senior at Tiffin University, earned the start for the Ice Haulers. In Olivarez’s five innings pitched he recorded eight hits, four runs, and five strikeouts. Olivarez kept the clean sheet until the second inning where Sandyn Cuthrell ran home on a fielder’s choice.

Mason Montgomery, Junior from Bowling Green State University, swung hard and fast into the seventh inning to hit a triple. Michael Pollard, Junior at Saint Peter's University, advanced to first during his at bat from an error by the Monarch’s shortstop, bringing in Montgomery for the only run of the inning.

The Ice Haulers rallied from this point on due to a Garett Pike double in the eighth inning. Pike also stole third base and made it home due to some wild pitching from the Monarchs. The Haulers rallied in the ninth when Adam Brauch, Sophomore at Valparaiso, advanced to first due to an error on the pitcher. Jace Rinehart, Nathan Archer, Michael Pollard, Brady Renfro, and Jace Rinehart all advanced on base due to errors in the field from the Monarchs with two runners advancing home from walks.
