The Ice Haulers lost game two of the series against the Muskegon Clippers last night, 1-6. The Ice Haulers now sit at thirteen wins and ten losses on the season. Sandusky Bay recorded four hits and one run in the evening.
.
Scoring started early, but not for the Ice Haulers. Muskegon jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning on a J. Anderson homerun on the fifth pitch of Ice Haulers, Alec Mendoza.  The Ice Haulers tried to answer back in the second inning with an Andrew Horvath single to left field and Mason Montgomery advancing to base on an error, but both Michael Pollard and Adam Brauch struck out swinging for outs two and three on the inning.
.
Muskegon did not slow down and recorded three more hits and two runs in the bottom of the second inning to extend their lead to three. Leading off the third, Nathan Archer was put out at shortstop, but Jacob Armsey doubled to left field to advance to second. Josh Kross then lined out to first base for out two and out three was given to Jace Rinehart who grounded out to the pitcher. AJ Miranda of Muskegon hit a two-run homerun to close out the third inning with a demanding 5-0 lead. Sandusky Bay did not advance home until the sixth inning for their one run in the evening.
.
Alec Mendoza, right-handed pitcher and Redshirt Senior at Notre Dame College of Ohio, earned the start on the mound for the Ice Haulers. Mendoza pitched for seven innings and averaged almost a strikeout per inning sitting at six strikeouts, ten hits, and six runs during his time on the mound. Ty Munroe, right-handed pitcher and Sophomore at Terra State Community College, came in to pitch relief and close out the game. Munroe tallied no hits and no runs in his one inning pitched for Sandusky Bay.
.
The Ice Haulers will be back in action tonight to close out game three of their three game series with the Muskegon Clippers. First Pitch is set for 5 PM today at Marsh Field in Muskegon, Michigan.
