Leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, the short stop, Mark Connelly (Sophomore, Lansing Community College) would have an RBI double. The next batter, Three Hillier (Freshman, Liberty University) would follow with another double, driving in two more runs. With these big hits, the Ice Haulers would have a 4-0 lead over Jet Box, after four innings.
On the mound, Landon Smiddy would go six strong innings, striking out nine Jet Box batters. He would only allow one earned run, with just two hits.
