The Sandusky Bay Ice Haulers fell short of the series sweep against the Michigan Monarchs tonight with a final score of 19-9 in seven innings. The Ice Haulers took the win in the series, but were unable to close-out game three. The Michigan Monarchs also snapped a five game winning streak for the Ice Haulers.

.
The Ice Haulers subbed in Jacob Krausher, Sophomore at the University of Akron, to pitch for some relief and close out the scoring from the Monarchs. Krausher tallied one strikeout in his one inning pitched and Alec Mendoza (starting pitcher), Senior at Notre Dame College, tallied one strikeout in his two innings pitched.
.
The third inning for the Ice Haulers was promising and gave way to scoring. Garett Pike, Sophomore at the University of Toledo, singled out to right field to advance to first. Nathan Archer, Sophomore at Bowling Green State University, singled to center field which allowed Garett Pike to advance to third. With runners on first and third, Josh Kross, free agent, advanced to first on a Monarch second baseman error which earned a trip home for both Pike and Archer. The Ice Haulers were able to bat around their line-up in this inning earning six runs from four hits and an error.
.
The Monarchs regained focus in the fourth and fifth innings to increase the scoreline to a 15-8 lead. The Monarchs went on to record four more runs in the sixth and seventh innings. Some key highlights of the game from the Ice Haulers include Garett Pike and Nathan Archer both going two for four at the plate, Adam Brauch, Sophomore at Valparaiso, tallying three RBI’s, and Ty Stolarski, Sophomore at the University of Akron, tallying two RBI’s.
